HAMBROOKS,  PIPEMAKERS  of Limekiln Street, Dover:  
A clay pipe is in Dover Museum, made by Charles Hambrook who joined the company in 1843.   “The company established in 1784”.  One of their apprentices was enrolled as follows:   Wm RIGGS son of Charles RIGGS of Dover labr, with consent of his father, was enrolled by Indenture dated 25 Apr 1831,  apprenticed to James HAMBROOK of Dover pipemaker for 7 years.   
"The apprentice to make at least fifteen gross of pipes each week during the last four years of the said term"  Inrolled 29 Apr 1831
