The organising committee of the Dover Tattoo were unable to secure funds to stage another Dover Tattoo so with much regret have decided on winding up the company.
Liz Dimech, the secretary of the 2012 Dover Tattoo organising committee gave a cheque - remaining funds £ 480.00 to Derek Leach, the chairman of the Dover Society for the Dover Town Hall fund. A stock of flags were also given to be sold off for the Dover Town Hall fund.
A walk to mark the 70th Anniversary of VE Day will take place on Dover seafront promenade. The walk will start and finish at the Dunkirk Memorial and with cover 1945 metres. Those taking part in the walk can make a donation to the Royal British legion.

The 2012 Dover Tattoo celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June 2012 at Connaught Barrack.
The 2012 Dover Tattoo commemorated 60 years of the Queen's reign, having ascended to the throne on 6 February 1952, her Coronation was on 2 June 1953.
